Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) is now enforced with the objective of ensuring both private and public sectors in Thailand comply with data protection measures when collecting, storing, using, disclosing, and/or transferring personal data prior consent from data subjects. If data subjects do not consent and their rights are violated by the other party, it is considered a legal offense and is subject to penalties.

What is Personal Data? Personal Data means any information relating to a Person, which enables the identification of such Person, whether directly or indirectly such as name, id number, address, email, medical information, or financial information.
