Assumption University and DBC Group Co., Ltd. Collaboration Promises Data Protection Boost in Education Industry and Private Organization
Personal Data Protection Act B.E.2562 (PDPA) is one of the data protection laws enacted around the globe to ensure that the data subject has relatable rights as well as to protect them from data breaches. In addition, any organizations engaging with data protection processes and measures not only comply with global standards but also enhance their own credibility.
Deeply understanding the importance of the Thai PDPA, DBC Group Co., Ltd. developed the PDPA Thailand brand as a way to express expertise in personal data protection service development in compliance with the abovementioned law. The present services include: consulting, auditing, Data Protection Officer (DPO) training, outsource DPO, and other various training courses.
In conjunction with Assumption University which is renowned as one of the traditional and most reputable private institutions in the country with a diverse staff and English-language instruction, with Thomas Aquinas School of Law as the lead representative, the two organizations wish to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to signify the commitment to promote personal data protection in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) B.E. 2562 and related laws
The collaboration aims to broaden awareness and understanding of personal data protection in Thailand and internationally, targeting individuals in educational institutions, students, and individuals within the educational industry, all of whom have significant influence on the development of the workforce in the country, as well as numerous personnel who would grow into entrepreneurs and private-sector labor markets.
To initiate collaborative activity and celebrate this auspicious moment, DBC Group provides 1,500 Fundamental of Personal Data Protection Act (English Version) e-learning accounts to Assumption University. The total value is 4,500,000 Thai Baht.
In addition, both sides jointly hold the seminar “A Brief Sharing for Lasting Protection” covering the most well-selected topics: importance of PDPA, DPO management, Data Mapping and Inventory, Consent Management, Data Subject Rights Management, and Data Breach Notification Management. The seminar will greatly enhance attendees’ understanding of personal data protection and practical practices.
